Cereus Bright (Knoxville, Tennessee)

Cereus Bright draws its muse, and its name, from the night-blooming Cereus– a desert flower that only blooms at night. This beauty blooming from the dark is a symbol–of hope, beauty, and for this young Knoxville band, music.
In the past year, Cereus Bright has traveled the country opening for elite musicians from diverse styles–from the soulful harmonies of the Lone Bellow, the melodic folk of Ben Sollee, the meta-modern country of Sturgill Simpson and the jam-pop of Phillip Phillips. Their performances feature a special brand of folk-influenced modern rock delivered with charismatic, harmony-driven energy.

Caney Creek Company (Chattanooga, Tennessee)

It would be easy to categorize Caney Creek Company as a bluegrass band based on their lineup of traditional instruments. However, their sound continues to progress, often including elements of folk and indie rock with equal frequency. Meanwhile, their approach to songwriting remains true to the storytelling tradition of Americana. It’s a sonic formula that appeals to all generations. Like a wedding vow, the songs will see you through sickness and health, wealth and wanting, some bad times—but especially the good ones.

Heatherly (Chattanooga, Tennessee)

Heatherly is the moniker used to describe the music coming from Heather Leigh Holt. Born and raised in Atlanta, Ga., she moved to Chattanooga after graduating from the University of Georgia. There, she studied music education with a focus of percussion. Heather taught music in Hamilton County for nine years before resigning to work for Ted and Kelly Alling. She loves to play any kind of music and attending open mics. She has recently acquired two new band members. Karmon French sings harmonies and Jesse Jungkurth plays bass.
